Janna - you have hit on what we writers do to ourselves. Sometimes I sit down at the laptop and my first thought is not, yay, I'm writing! It's I should have started earlier, or I should have done this yesterday. Not conducive to a free flow of creativity, to say the least. Thanks for this reminder of a kinder way to view my writing time.

It's so true, Carol! We are always scolding ourselves for not doing enough, soon enough, early enough, fast enough, rather than allowing that what we are doing NOW to be enough. I've just returned from a long weekend away at a conference and even with this "you're right on time" mantra that I've been working on using, I find myself getting pulled into feeling "behind," or "late" (this morning, after I slept longer than usual because of how tired I was from the conference), or like I have to "catch up" from being away.
